The future of this project - Roadmap

The first basic command-line codes were created to give the ecosystem an initial body of resources.

These early codes helped Lovelace move from an idea to a small working collection. They gave the project initial technical content and helped test how resources should be organized before building interfaces.

The preprocessing series started the first group of visual interfaces in the project.

The goal was to implement common chemometrics methods as user-friendly interfaces. This step showed how technical resources could become visual tools instead of only scripts.

The Square started publishing codes and datasets online.

This moved the repository from an internal prototype to a public resource. The team began testing the infrastructure and how resources should be organized, described, reviewed, and found.

The Library went online with educational resources.

The Library was deployed with educational resources and plenty of information about the ecosystem. It added explanations, examples, and context around chemometrics methods.

Early supporters began to join and follow the Lovelace project.

Their support brought feedback, visibility, and confidence to the project. It helped Lovelace grow as a community-supported initiative with people and institutions helping shape its direction.

Development of Ada AI started inside the Lovelace ecosystem.

Ada was designed to help users find resources, understand methods, and navigate the platform. It connects the Square and the Library through guided assistance.

Lovelace's Square sponsored the 12th Colloquium Chemiometricum Mediterraneum in Porquerolles, France.

CCM2025 took place from September 9 to 12, 2025. The sponsorship helped Lovelace connect with the chemometrics community and present the project in a scientific setting.

Lovelace became an official non-lucrative organization, and the decentralization step started.

The Lovelace's Square Association was constituted on February 6, 2026. The registration resolution was received on April 17, 2026, giving the project a formal legal structure and a mechanism for shared governance.

Lovelace reaches its official launch milestone.

The launch brought the public website, the repository direction, the Library, and the association work together. It made the project easier to present and support.
